| Key Stage 1 | Yom Kippur is the time when we think about how we behave and try and do better - Thinking about our behaviour | Being sorry when we do something wrong is not enough. A famous Rabbi, Rabbi Moshe Ben Maimon, known as the RAMBAM or Maimonides, believed we had to go through at least four different stages before our Teshuva is complete. Ask the children to think of something that they have done wrong. Then ask what they think they could do to make things right. Write the following phrases on four cards. 'Know that you did wrong and say so' 'Say you are sorry for what you did' 'Promise not to do it again' 'Do the right thing if something similar happens again' See if they can work out which order to put them in. Which do they think is the hardest thing to do? |
