The United Synagogue

Jeffrey is Director of Education at the United Synagogue Agency for Jewish Education. He has worked in education for 36 years and in that time has been a class teacher; deputy head; head teacher; and Ofsted Registered Inspector. Jeffrey is also one of the professional group that founded Pikuach, the Jewish inspection service. Jeffrey sits on the Advisory Board for School Centred Initial Teacher Training at the government’s Training and Development Agency for Schools. In addition to lecturing on the Agency’s training programmes, he has also lectured at the Institute of Education and Middlesex University. He is also a regular contributor to Radio 2’s Pause for Thought. On the sporting front, he holds an FA Coaching Badge and is a Badminton Association of England Club Coach. Jeffrey has an MA in Religious Education.
