JSCP Curriculum Development


The JSCP Parashat Hashavua Curriculum covers all five books of the Torah and focuses on the mitzvot (commandments) and middot (values) which can be drawn from the events described within each Parashah. It is used across all Key Stages in the Primary School.

The JSCP Chumash Readiness Programme addresses the knowledge and skills necessary to prepare Key Stage 2 pupils for the study of text.

The JSCP Chumash Curriculum which is in the writing process will consist of 25 Units which will guide the teacher and challenge the pupil through a range of innovative approaches to the study of the Torah text.

A Chumash Curriculum Framework (CCF) has been desvised for this purpose and identifies the Knowledge, Skills and Understanding aspects of learning Chumash and the levels of attainment within each aspect.
