Primary Curriculum

All Jewish schools devote a certain number of periods per week to the Jewish Studies (JS) curriculum.

There is a wide variation between the amount of hours devoted to JS across the range of schools and Key Stages. All schools however cover the following subjects:

● Jewish Year
● Jewish Way Of Life
● Torah
● Tefillah
● Israel

In some Jewish Primary Schools (State and Independant) Hebrew Language (Ivrit) is taught in addition to the JS Curriculum.

Some schools integrate aread of the JS Curriculum with National Curriculum subjects. In some schools, Jewish Values are taught as part of the Citizenship Curriculum.
