Fundraising

United Synagogue Fundraising, founded in February 2001, was set up by the Trustees of the United Synagogue in recognition of two factors.

● The United Synagogue with its network of 62 local synagogue communities and a membership of 27,000 households with an estimated 100,000 people, has an unrivalled communal infrastructure in the UK.

● The United Synagogue runs a balanced budget which means that there are funds sufficient only for the running of the synagogues and the organisation and not for the vital charitable work that the United Synagogue can and must do.

United Synagogue Fundraising was therefore set up to raise funds for greatly needed programmes and services, run not only for our young people, but also for the elderly, lonely and disadvantaged members of our community.

Through fundraising, the United Synagogue aims to finance all the vital work required to ensure the building of the vibrant, modern, committed UK Jewish community of the future.
