NOSH ON ALERT
Keeping kosher becomes a piece of cake with the launch of this summer's 2008 Kosher Nosh Guide and the introduction of a new text alert service.
The new text service will be provided free of charge until December for those who subscribe before September 1st. Kosher texts will be sent straight to mobile phone users as soon as a product becomes approved or is taken off the kashrus list to keep people up-to-date with the lasest information.
In addition, this year's Guide features over 370 new products including the introduction of a much requested biscuit section. New products will also include sweets, organic ice cream, popcorn and luxury chocolates. It is always advisable to purchase products with a Hechsher if at all possible.
80,000 free copies of the 62-page pocket-sized user-friendly guide are being distributed throughout the Jewish community by TRIBE and the Agency for Jewish Education.
Rabbi Jeremy Conway, Director of the Kashrus Division, commented: "The Nosh Guide is a must for anyone who wants to keep kosher, and with so many new products, the community will be overwhelmed by choice! We are particularly excited about the new text serivce which will give subscribers rapid, up-to-date information to make it even easier to keep kosher in the future."
