BUMPER MONTH FOR TCM
TCM, Tribe Community Membership for young people aged 21-30, has enjoyed a bumper month of events with over 100 new members signing up to join the 600 who have joined since its launch in 2006.
200 people packed TCM's New Year event at Fernando's in Hendon on Monday night, organised together with Oz Vhadar (Hendon United Synagogue's young minyan) which raised over £500 for the US's Project Chesed. With a large communal dinner last Friday as well for MVS (Edgware United's young community) sponsored by TCM, the US' 20-something generation has been showing up in force. MVS will benefit further from TCM's support with the forthcoming delivery of a new bimah, ark and bookcases to assist with their growing services.
Debra Sherman, a recent graduate of Leeds joined TCM at TCM's New Year event at Fernando's commented: "This event was a great opportunity to meet up with all my friends post university and a chance to join TCM and become a member of my home community in Kenton."
David Collins, Tribe Community Executive, said: "It has been a fantastic month for TCM and it is amazing to see our young communities grow and develop under the United Synagogue banner."
